Holly's Art Lessons began as an unexpected blessing during a challenging season of life. As a homeschool parent and art educator, I found myself unable to continue the weekly co-op classes I had loved teaching. While circumstances changed, my passion for sharing art and art history with children—and adults—never did.

What started as a once-a-month "Art Club" in my home quickly grew into something more. As I continued developing my own artwork and teaching students whenever opportunities arose, I received increasing requests for private lessons and workshops. In 2026, I decided it was time to take that next step and officially launch Holly's Art Lessons.

I specialize in pencil and charcoal drawing, colored pencil, and watercolor painting. These mediums are approachable, affordable, portable, and low-mess—making them an excellent fit for busy families looking to spend less time on screens and more time creating, learning, and connecting.

Art education offers benefits that extend far beyond artistic skill. Studies have shown that arts instruction can strengthen problem-solving abilities, improve academic performance, support emotional well-being, and build confidence. For adults, creative practice can reduce stress, increase focus, and provide a meaningful outlet for self-expression.

Most importantly, I believe creativity is a gift. As a Christian, I believe we are created in the image of God—the ultimate Creator. When we develop our creative abilities and use them thoughtfully, we reflect His character and participate in the joyful act of making something beautiful and powerful.
